The Community Environmental Council (CEC) is committed to granting equal employment opportunities to all qualified persons and makes employment decisions based on merit. We want to have the best available person in every job.
Our policies prohibit unlawful discrimination in hiring practices based on any consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws. Our policy also prohibits unlawful discrimination based on the perception that anyone has any of those characteristics or is associated with a person who has or is perceived as having any of those characteristics. All such discrimination is unlawful.
We are committed to compliance with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunities. This commitment applies to all persons involved in our operations and prohibits unlawful discrimination by any employee of our organization, including managers and coworkers.
This commitment to non-discrimination applies to all persons involved in the operation of CEC, and it is the responsibility of each of these individuals to fully support our policy of non-discrimination through personal leadership and example.
Policy Against Harassment, Discrimination, And Retaliation
We are committed to providing a work environment free of unlawful harassment, discrimination, bullying, or abusive conduct. CEC will not tolerate the conduct of an employer or employee in the workplace, that a reasonable person would find hostile, offensive, and unrelated to an employer’s legitimate business interests.
All harassment is prohibited by CEC. We specifically prohibit sexual harassment, and harassment or discrimination based on race (including related hairstyle), religious creed (including religious dress and grooming practices), color, sex, gender or gender identity, expression or transition, sexual orientation, national origin (including language use restrictions), ancestry, citizenship status, military or veteran status, marital status, pregnancy (including breastfeeding, childbirth, and related medical conditions), age (40 and over), protected medical condition (cancer and genetic characteristics), disability (mental and physical and including HIV or AIDS), denial of Family and Medical Care Leave, or any other category protected by a federal, state, or local law, ordinance, or regulation. We also prohibit unlawful harassment based on the perception that anyone has any of those characteristics or is associated with a person who has or is perceived as having any of those characteristics.
This policy applies to applicants and all persons involved in the operation of our organization and prohibits unlawful harassment by any of our employees, including managers, managers and coworkers, and extends to interns, fellows, independent contractors, volunteers, or other non-employees or third parties doing business with our organization.
